Rhos on Sea

Looking WestWow! What a lovely sunny weekend April 8th and 9th was. I took the chance to pop down to Rhos on Sea on the North Wales coast with my lovely son. We walked along the front and enjoyed the coastline, which you can see a lot of here, and then went for dinner in Forte’s Restaurant. Rhos on Sea is also the home of the Harlequin Puppet Theatre and Saint Trilo’s Chapel, the smallest church in Britain.


Rhos on Sea has a few remains of the steamship Rhosneiger wreck which can be seen at low tide on careful viewing. There also used to be an incredibly long pier here that was partially destroyed during the war to protect against unauthorised landings. After this it became so unstable that it was demolished for safety reasons.

A little further along from Rhos on Sea is Angel Bay, where grey seals are known to breed. Hopefully the destination of another day …
