A Bit More About My Easter Bunny Card Designs
These cards were created in my mixed media art journal using acrylic inks, gesso and Neocolour Aquarelle crayons with some archival ink stamping. They were painted in layers with the aim of keeping as much colour without overpowering the characters. The characters were designed to be quirky, fun and colourful. I like the mystery of whether the eggs have chicks in them or are chocolate eggs. I think the bunnies are intrigued too!
Easter Rabbits
At Easter, bunnies are a traditional pagan symbol of fertility that is closely linked to the Spring. Of course over time bunnies at Easter have become something that appeals to children so the Easter bunny is now a modern icon.
