Why You Should Buy Art …

Years ago I lived in Africa with my family for a few years. My dad loved the country and the wildlife with a special interest in the birds, having always been a keen birdwatcher. As a result we spent a fait amount of time visiting nature reserves. A peculiar feature of business there was that artists would sell their crafts and art at the side of the road. This is how my dad acquired a few nice pieces depicting birds and the landscape that still remind him of the things he loved about the area to this day.[br][br]

Getting to Know the Path

My journey to the art I now make started with walks along the portion of the Wales Coastal Path near where I live. She would help me identify the many little flowering plants we found there and the birds that came and went. I loved the shapes and colours and soon started photographing them as reference for sketches and paintings I then made at home.

Spring is in Full Swing

Apart from a few persisting cold nights, Spring is fully underway along the Dee portion of Wales coast path. The swallows have arrived, chiff chaffs are busy singing and butterflies are flitting between the ever increasing flowers. I’ve seen peacocks, orange tips, speckled browns, small blues and white butterflies so far, although I’ve only managed […]

Wow! What a lovely sunny weekend April 8th and 9th was. I took the chance to pop down to Rhos on Sea on the North Wales coast with my lovely son. We walked along the front and enjoyed the coastline, which you can see a lot of here, and then went for dinner in Forte’s […]
